Nice to meet you - my name is Seth, you can call me Dr. Dotes, I will be your Dive Instructor! I have been a licensed NAUI Dive Instructor since 2016 and am the proud owner of SoCo Scuba and MoCo Scuba.

I attended Texas State University from 2011–2017, wherey I played on the club ice hockey team and earned a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Psychological Research. I later attended Texas Tech University, where I earned my Ph.D. in Educational Psychology in 2022.Today, I divide my time between Austin and Montgomery, Texas, while serving as a Psychology Professor at Austin Community College, teaching scuba diving courses, and continuing my training toward a career in commercial aviation.

Outside of my professional pursuits, I am fortunate to share life with my wonderful fiancée as we prepare to welcome our first child. This exciting season has reinforced the values that matter most to me - family, safety, responsibility, and creating meaningful experiences for others.

To ensure I can provide every student with the highest level of instruction and attention, I am currently offering dive training and experiences exclusively in the Austin area. Availability is limited and scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis, so please email me directly to inquire about upcoming courses, certifications, and dive opportunities.
